Car as found:

Check out the moss growing all over the car (as opposed to Moss the company that will get all the business in the restoration process).

What kind of car is that in the background? What car is in the garage (no way are you going to guess that one!)?

Andy and I scrubbed it up (most of the moss washed right off) before putting it in outdoor storage in my backyard (hopefully not for decades).
We even got it started and ran a quart of oxygenated gasoline through the system! Old gas smelled putrid! Runs great!
If only we had the time to get the mouse nest out of the bell housing! Didn't find any rattlesnakes.
Yes, the passenger floorboard is missing, but it came with a NOS Spitfire replacement unit.
The tunnel is not in the good shape shown here any longer. Had to change the starter… bendix stuck.
Hey, the real Lucas taillight lens is worth the purchase price in itself, right?
Anyone interested in a great project car???…

All scrubbed up and looking good (less bad)!
Better hide before the neighbors notice…

Peek-a-boo!  This is where I spent the winter of 1998/1999, under a blue tarp.
